FY2009 Omnibus Appropriations Act

The only Reason to Keep Banks out of Real Estate is To Keep NAR Happy, and NAR has so much of your Money that they convince your government to do what is best for the National Association of Realtors and NOT what is Best for You.

The National Association of Realtors NEVER did make a Good Case for Keeping Banks out but they sure did throw a fit and Use their CLOUT to Get their Way.

Banks already have access to your information and with banks in Real Estate it could be just another service with Free Checking, Real Estate Contacts. I mean they have the Loan on Your Property anyway. NAR is Your Government and NAR will continue to get laws enacted to benefit them, meanwhile NOTHING is done to improve the One Hundred percent Lack of Consumer Protection in Real Estate.

NAR Has all kinds of Nonsense Reasons why Banks SHOULD not be in Real Estate, they have been fighting it for years and NAR gets what NAR wants. Funny, every paper - list - handout I read that was put out by NAR on Why to Keep Banks out of Real Estate .. Because of What Might Happen, it was all Lies, and the funniest part ... the National Association of Realtors was and is doing the damage that they claimed that Banks in Real Estate "Might" do. Sick But True.

Now that all their Millions of Dollars of Lobby Money, Clout, Marching in D.C and Bullying Everyone over the last Decade has Got them their Way... Now The "National Association of Realtors" Says "If banks had been allowed to engage in real estate brokerage, it would have created anti-competitive and anti-consumer concentrations of power within the financial services sector, which would have ultimately increased costs for homebuyers."

As a Real Estate Broker Owner who QUIT the NAR Cartel for a Total lack of accountability to the Real Estate Consumer, I will tell you that The Honest Truth is NAR promotes - encourages and Flat Out Ignores Anti-Cometitive Issues and Constantly Violates Anti-Trust Laws and no One holds them Accountable. This is happening in the Real Estate Industry every where that NAR is, And has been for a VERY long time. Yet NAR says Banks in Real Estate would create this climate when the FACT is that NAR has already created it and No One Cares.

I have seen Horror Story after Story, and I am here to tell you that NAR is Anti-Consumer in EVERY way. They pretend to be of a Higher Standard but they do not hold their Realtor Members to those Ethics or Standards of Practice so What Good are they?

Ethics and Standards of Practice seem to only be in place to create the illusion that NAR, the Self Proclaimed Voice of Real Estate, Actually Cares about the Real Estate consumer when they do not. If a Realtor lies to you and you talk to a Local, State or National "NAR" representative, what happens? I have personally seen this and had many - MANY real estate consumers tell me of their experience, and well NAR is not listening, not Holding Realtors Accountable and are of NO way of a "Higher Standard". However the Real Estate Consumer reads the ads, and watches tv and they believe for the most part that NAR members are of a "Higher Standard" and HEY that is all they need to stay in business and GET their way over your Government.

Was this really the most important issue in March of 2009 when NAR finally got their way?

At a time when the Real Estate Consumer could use some Serious Rescuing, when You were losing everything... NAR finally got their way after over a decade of fighting over this Not really Important Issue, Was there NOTHING more important to PUT the Famous NAR Clout to Work on in the Spring of 2009? I think So.
